Genetic Metabolism Pathways

Genetic metabolism pathways show how your body converts nutrients into energy, handles inflammation, and supports detoxification. These pathways are the step-by-step chemical reactions inside your cells that drive core metabolic functions. Understanding them helps reveal how your genetics influence energy levels, nutrient absorption, and overall metabolic health.

N

Appetite Regulation – Genetic Pathway

The Appetite Regulation Pathway analyzes genes that affect hunger, fullness, food preferences, and energy use. These genes help explain how your brain controls appetite and why certain eating patterns or cravings may occur. Understanding this pathway can support healthier eating habits and weight management. Genes tested include: BDNF, FAAH, FTO, LEPR, MC4R, NPY, and POMC.

N

Nutrient Sensing – Genetic Pathway

The Nutrient Sensing Pathway analyzes genes that help your body detect and respond to changing nutrient levels, supporting energy balance and metabolic function. These genes influence glucose and fat metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and cellular stress response. Genes tested include: ADIPOQ, FOXO3, HIF1A, IRS1, PARP1, PGC1A, PPARA, PPARG, SIRT1, and VEGFA.

Sugar Metabolism - Genetic Pathway

The Sugar Metabolism Pathway examines genes that regulate how your body processes carbohydrates, supports insulin signaling, and maintains balanced blood glucose levels. These genes influence glucose uptake, energy use, and glycogen storage. Genes tested include: AMPD1, GCK, GLUT2, IRS1, PPARG, and TCF7L2.

N

Fat Metabolism - Genetic Pathway

The Fat Metabolism Pathway analyzes genes involved in how your body breaks down, transports, and stores fats, which is essential for energy balance and metabolic health. These genes influence lipid transport, fatty acid oxidation, and triglyceride storage. Genes tested include: ADRB3, CD36, CPT1A, FABP2, LPL, PLIN1, PPARA, and SREBF1.

N

Cholesterol & Bile - Genetic Pathway

The Cholesterol & Bile Pathway analyzes genes involved in cholesterol production, transport, and bile formation. These genes help regulate cholesterol levels, bile acid metabolism, and overall lipid balance, all of which are important for cardiovascular health and digestion. Genes tested include: CYP7A1, HMGCR, LDLR, and SREBF1.

N

Mitochondria & Inflammation - Genetic Pathway

The Mitochondria & Inflammation Pathway analyzes genes involved in cellular energy production and inflammatory control. These genes influence mitochondrial function, antioxidant defense, and immune activity, all of which play key roles in long-term health and disease prevention. Genes tested include: CAT, CRP, FOXO3, GPX1, IFNG, IL6, NRF2, SIRT3, SOD2, TNF, and UCP1/2/3.

Helpful FAQ’s

How many times should I take a genetic metabolism test?

Since your genetic DNA code does not change, you only need to take this test once in your lifetime.

Our genes are fixed from birth, so the age at which you are tested does not affect the results. Your diet, medical conditions, or medications will not influence the test results either.

You only need to be tested once because your genetic DNA code does not change. What can change is how you manage your genetics to improve your health.

How accurate are the genetic metabolism test results?

Our genotyping method is highly precise, with an accuracy rate of at least 99.9%. Any results that do not meet our stringent quality control standards are marked as ‘no result’ and not included in the report.

Each report is thoroughly referenced to support our interpretations, and our expert team routinely reviews the reports to ensure they remain current and clinically relevant.

Is my DNA data safe?

We take the utmost care with your sensitive data, ensuring it is stored securely and protected by the highest industry standards. We retain the minimum necessary patient data for the shortest possible time.

Upon receipt, samples are assigned a barcode and all other patient identifiers are removed. The test is solely used to generate reports, which are only shared with authorized practitioners at FRESH GENETIQ.

Each test is processed in an ISO-certified laboratory, and all samples are completely destroyed after 3 months. Patient genotyping data is marked for destruction at 5 months and fully destroyed by 6 months. The patient report, data, and DNA sample are never shared with or sold to third parties.

Who can be tested?

Anyone, including children, can be tested with parental consent. For children under 18, a parent or guardian with legal responsibility must provide consent.

My treatment went over a 5 day period as I got several different treatments. Chelation infusion x2 PRP injections x 2 multiple points and then the UC-MSC stem cells. 10 million units. He went through there supplier with proven studies and results and 3rd party testing. On the final day we went through it all again with full write up from the supplying company. Cell count, Viability % manufacturing time and date. Cell surface marker, sterility testing, 3rd party testing results, Cell characteristics, immune immunology test results with a massive list and many more to add. Just outstanding. "I highly recommend FRESH GENETIQ! The Drs are amazing, passionate about what they do and passionate about helping their patients get the results they want. They are all very sweet and kind people. The facilities are clean and well equipped. We went for stem cell therapy and they included a bunch of additional therapies that supported the stem cells. The price was very fair. The labs they go through are very good, they supply all the documents both from the lab about your stem cell batch and also a third party lab testing on them. They are very transparent and trustworthy. Very glad I chose FRESH GENETIQ! 😊🙏🏻"
